Atlanta Luxury Motors scoops up two stores from Hennessy

Driving the news: Hennessy Automobile Companies has sold Hennessy Mazda and Hennessy GMC in Morrow, Georgia to ALM Automotive Group, marking the Atlanta family's first dealership sale in its 60-year history, according to deal advisors Kerrigan Advisors.

For context: The transaction expands ALM Automotive Group's footprint in the Atlanta metro, where the company has operated for nearly two decades across Georgia and the Carolinas under owner Khush Bhatia.

  • The two dealerships sit eight miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport with limited nearby competition.

What they're saying: “Buyer demand remains high for dealerships in the Southern region, with acquirers continuing to focus on local scale and tuck-in acquisitions as discussed in Kerrigan Advisors’ most recent Blue Sky Report,” said Erin Kerrigan, Founder and Managing Director of Kerrigan Advisors.

Big picture: GMC leads all domestic brands in 2025 sales growth, and Mazda is the fastest-growing import brand by market share since 2019, making these attractive adds for buyers like ALM looking to scale in high-demand Sun Belt markets.
